In my opinion the Klarstein 10000 BTU air conditioner is the best unit for portability — it’s lightweight, compact, and powerful enough to cool most rooms.
You can’t see it in the images, but the Klarstein rolls on 4 wheels.

This specific Klarstein Metrobreeze Rome is only available as a 10,000 BTU unit (even though it’s more powerful than most 10,000 BTU air conditioners).
Buyers love how quickly it can cool rooms and its significantly smaller size.

The price is middle of the road. It’s affordable, but I wouldn’t say it’s “cheap”.
Compared to similar size 10000 BTU portable ac model, it’s mostly the same — the buyer reviews is what distinguishes it over the others. It has high ratings + dozens of positive reviews.
Overall the Klarstein’s portable air conditioner is a quality AC w/ and affordable price.
For those cooling a medium size area, the Klarstein Metrobreeze Rome is worth considering.

It doesn’t look like the Klarstein Metrobreeze model are self-evaporating.
For this function, I think your best options are the Whynter ARC-14S/ARC-14SH or one of the Della portable air conditioners.
