EcoAir Gelo Review.
The EcoAir brand continues to be a top producer of high-end portable air conditioners in the UK.
- EcoAir Crystal
- EcoAir Apollo AC
- Artica MK2
Introducing the new EcoAir Gelo WiFi air conditioner.
It’s a 9000 BTU portable air conditioner w/ built-in dehumidifier.
As you can see it has a similar design as EcoAir Artica MK2 and Apollo units.
Power: 9000BTU
Area: 20 sq.m.
The biggest difference is that the EcoAir Gelo/Artica are Wi-Fi connected, portable air conditioners w/ mobile app functionality ~ using your smartphone you can control all settings, remotely, from anywhere.
Primary app functions:
turn on/off, switch to fan or dehumidifier, set exact room temp, or change speeds
Additional functions:
24-hr timer, sleep mode, or activate louvers for directing air flow
EcoAir Gelo Portable Air Conditioner
The EcoAir Gelo includes new features such as no-drip design, water-full notification (for the dehumidifier) and auto-evaporation.
It weighs 27.5 kg and comes on wheels, making it portable around the house.
EcoAir Gelo also includes a built-in dehumidifier.
Dehumidifier: 30 litres (1.43/hour)
The dehumidifier includes a full-water alert which notifies if you when the water tank needs to be emptied ~ helps avoid leaks.
As a WiFi portable air conditioner, the remote control + mobile app are easy to use.
You’re able to adjust the room temperature, switch to dehumidifier, or select fan speed.
AC Temp: 16 – 30°C
If using as a bedroom air conditioner, the sleep mode is a nice added feature — this will keeps the ac noise between 49-53 decibels.
Buyers like the 24-timer too — you can set the Gelo portable air conditioner to auto turn-off after you leave in the morning. (in case you forget!)
Arrives mostly preassembled ~ install takes approx. 10-15 mins.

Gelo Portable Air Conditioner Review
The EcoAir Gelo 9000BTU is one of the first WiFi portable air conditioners to hit the market.
There’s not many reviews for the Gelo ac model yet, but since it’s designed from the Artica MK2 and EcoAir Apollo, it looks to be a good option.
Only big difference (other than a higher BTU size), is the WiFi or smart functionality.
Best of all — the EcoAir Gelo has a medium price range.
Other portable air conditioners with WiFi capability costs 30-40% more.
And with EcoAir’s reputation for producing some of the UK’s top selling portable ac units, I think the EcoAir Gelo is a solid option to consider.
