Below are my picks for the best drones with cameras.
Drone price range, $399 – $1,299.
Best Drones Review
✅ #1 Top Pick: DJI Phantom Quadcopter 4K Drone
DJI Phantom 3 is a specialized Quadcopter drone w/ 4K video quality (FYI: 3.5X better than 1080p)
Not a standard “starter drone” it comes w/ very impressive flying + video capabilities.
Very Fast – 16 meters per sec. (35 mph)
Long Range – travel distance of 3-miles (5 km) unobstructed or 2-miles w/ obstructions.
Durable – can operate in temps ranging from 32° to 104°F
Best 4K Drone for Long Range Streaming quality is equally impressive — records video at 1800 frames per min and 12 megapixel photos.
Phantom 3 syncs w/ your mobile phone — using the DJI Pilot App, you can livestream HD resolution in realtime.
DJI Phantom comes w/ built-in Micro SD card letting you save hours of flying footage.
Remote control is easy-to-use + drone can operate 23-mins per charge.
#2.) DJI Spark Fly More Combo Drone
DJI Spark Fly More is a mid-priced drone w/ 720p streaming video + 1080p still images.
New stabilization system gives you control even when it’s windy — also helps you get clear + crisp images on the video stream (through the mobile app).
It’s one of the first DJI drones w/ ActiveTrack feature — it lets you monitor specific people or objects that are in motion w/ solid accuracy. This makes it great for action sports!
Spark Drone is a little heavy at 1.5 pounds, but still covers a good distance on 16-min charge.
Personally I think it’s one of the better choices because of its price and positive buyer reviews.
#3.) Yuneec Typhoon 4K Hexacopter
Yuneec Typhoon Drone is one becoming one of the most popular online. Lots of positive buyer reviews.
It comes w/ 6 rotors and 8 built-in flying modes.
Being a hexacopter, if 1 rotor stops working mid-air, Typhoon Drone will be able to return + land safely
Solid flying capabilities — range of 1-mile (1.6 km) + can fly up to 400 ft.
High-tech camera is designed to stream 4K video quality and take high-resolution 12 megapixel photos.
Camera has a wide-angle lens which can rotate 360°
Drone battery allows for 25-mins of flying. (if Hexacopter senses low battery, it’ll alert you and auto return)
#4.) DJI Phantom 3 Quadcopter Review
DJI Phantom 3 Quadcopter is the earlier model, but more affordable + has many of the same features.
Mid-range distance, it can travel 0.5 miles w/ speed of 16 meters-per-sec (or 35 mph)
Phantom drone offers 25-mins of flying time per charge.
High quality camera — 2.7K HD resolution + shoots 12 megapixel photographs.
Video isn’t quite as powerful as 4K camera, but is a great starter drone.
Quality live streaming + very affordable price, the Phantom 3 drone would be my personal choice!
#5.) Holy Stone HS700 Drone
Holy Stone HS700 Drone is an affordable model equipped w/ 1080p HD camera.
Good distance for its category, it can be operated from 1,300 feet (0.25 miles).
Comes w/ built-in GPS system — using the video stream, you can control the drone’s path even when it’s out-of-sight.
The 20-min battery is pretty good for its price.
If the drone is running low on battery, it’ll auto-return for charging. (will also returns if signal is fading)
Holy Stone is the most affordable drone on my list + is extremely popular w/ buyers.
#6.) Parrot ANAFI 4K Drone
This Parrot drone comes with 4K HDR camera.
It’s able to take 21 megapixel photographs — the Parrot Anafi has one of the best drone cameras for being under $1,000.
It comes w/ a unique 180° vertical tilt gimbal — great for low angle footage.
From reading reviews it’s a favorite among real estate agents and those recording sports such as surfing.
One of the things that stands out is its weight… less than 1 pound! (weighs 0.7 lbs)
Being lightweight, it’s also one the quietest operating drones.
#7.) DJI Mavic Air Quadcopter
The DJI Mavic Air Quadcopter has an advanced camera w/ full panorama feature — its able to capture 25 images in 8 seconds (putting together a panoramic shot).
Photographs are 12 megapixels and the 4K HD camera shoots at 30 frames per sec. (includes 8 GB micro SD card)
ActiveTrack feature lets you follow up to 16 programmed targets — whether you’re shooting images for a friend surfing or a group of friends playing soccer, the smart tracking system will help the drone keep track of the right subjects.
Battery is a little lower at 21-mins per charge.
Remote control unit can operate the Mavic Quadcopter from 1.25 miles (6,562 ft.)
#8.) Autel EVO 4K Drone
The Autel Robotics EVO Drone is the most expensive drone on my list.
As you can see it has a unique look — looks a little bulky, but it’s actually fairly compact. The wings fold in making it more portable than others.
One of the things buyers like is the camera speed. It can capture 60 frames per second — nearly double that of competitors. As you can guess, the video is the highest resolution as well. (it’s practically a Go-Pro on a drone)
Amazing distance it can travel up to 4.3 miles. Battery time is also impressive with 30-mins of flying per charge.
EVO Drone includes a 32 GB micro SD card + customer service.
** I’ll be adding #9-10 best 4K drones soon! Stay tuned!
